  • As an Intake Volunteer for our Food Pharmacy Program, you will support patients during their visit by helping assess follow-up needs and ensuring continuity of care. Volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming environment while helping connect patients to the resources and care they need.

    Note: The role is ONLY available to active volunteers!

    • Checking in with patients about medication supply, completion of lab work, and identifying whether they need assistance scheduling follow-up appointments

    • Communicating patient questions and concerns to clinic staff.

    • Tener al menos 18 años

    • Vacuna contra el Covid

    • Prueba de que la prueba de la tuberculosis ha dado negativo en los últimos 6 meses

    • Puede comprometerse a un mínimo de 6 meses consecutivos de voluntariado (dos turnos de cuatro horas al mes). 

    • Puede comprometerse a recibir orientación y formación en persona en 35 Onondaga Ave, San Francisco

    • Additional 20 Hours of reception shift experience on top of required reception/EMR training

    • Comfortable learning basic conversational and speaking Spanish

    • Conocimiento y cumplimiento de la normativa HIPAA

    • Gran capacidad de comunicación

    • Capacidad para mantener una etiqueta profesional 

    • Preferred: Spanish Fluency

    • Facilidad para utilizar programas informáticos de interpretación para comunicarse con pacientes que hablan otro idioma.

  • Jornadas de Farmacia Alimentaria 

    • 2nd & 4th Saturday of the Month

      •  9:30-13:00
